Junior clubs call off revolt over pyramid move after WoSFL peace talks

West of Scotland League chiefs are set to finalise plans for Conferences after holding off a potential revolt from Junior football clubs.

Ayrshire Fitbaw understands that peace talks took place today following fears that some clubs would walk away after 11th hour changes were made to the league's proposed structure.

St Anthony's and Shotts Bon Accord publicly vented their anger after the SFA demanded that the current West Premiership form one tier six league to feed into the  Lowland League  - with the rest of the clubs phased in at tier seven.

The original plan was for all 63 West Region sides to jump in at tier six across a series of conferences for one year.

However, that anger has been quelled after crunch talks and West of Scotland League chiefs are now ready to push full steam ahead with finalised plans.

WoSFL chairman Dave McKenna emailed all clubs to let them know of the breakthrough.

He vowed that further details regarding conferences would be issued tommorow.
