Junior Andre arranges his first ever meet and greet as he gears up to launch pop career

Junior Andre has launched a competition this week which gives fans the chance to hear his new music ahead of its release, as part of his first ever 'meet and greet' event.

The singer, 16, has been teasing for months that he has been working on new tracks, with the teenager set to follow in the footsteps of his musician father Peter Andre, 49.

It was reported last year that Junior had signed a deal with Columbia Records - which lists the likes of Beyoncé, Adele and Harry Styles among its roster of current artists.

He is signed with label Rebel Records - who are said to have a partnership with Columbia Records - with his upcoming EP set to be released through the latter.

He has yet to announce when the new music will be released but has presented fans with an opportunity to potentially hear it in advance at his first 'meet and greet.'

Junior - whose mother is reality TV star Katie Price, 43, - launched a competition on social media last night, which promises to see five fans get to meet him on the weekend.

He announced the opportunity on his official Instagram page yesterday, revealing that five winners will be selected at random - from fans who enter into a draw via email.

Introducing the competition, he said in a post on his Instagram Story: "Guys I'm getting ready to release my music soon and I would love for you all to hear it."

The singer - whose father is best known for the song Mysterious Girl - added: "So five of my followers can come and meet me at a secret location to listen to some music."

He said that entrants must email their name, age and Instagram handle to Contact@rebel-records.co.uk. He said they must be following him, adding: "I'll be checking."

He said the winners need to be "available and able" to make their own way to a yet-to-be-disclosed location in London on Sunday (March 20) this coming weekend.

Junior further stated in the post on social media: "Anybody under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, and winners will be picked at random and notified by Friday."

He concluded the recent post - which was shared with his 502,000 followers on the platform - by writing to his fans: "It's my first ever meet and great. Excited to see you all."
