Juninho in bullish Celtic prediction as Midtjylland defender talks down Hoops' Champions League chances

FC Midtjylland defender Juninho insists the Danes EXPECT to dump Celtic out of the Champions League tomorrow night.

The second round qualifier is finely balanced at 1-1 after last weeks’ draw at Celtic Park.

Ange Postecoglou ’s side took the lead through Liel Abada but conceded a second half equaliser when Evander drew the visitors level.

Away goals have been scrapped so the leveller wasn’t as damaging as it might have been.

Nonetheless, Juninho is confident Midtjylland will finish the job on home turf this week.

"We have huge expectations for the Champions League,” he said. “It's such an important competition with big clubs and the best players in the world.

"We achieved an important draw in the first leg in Glasgow and we are expecting to go through now.

"I'm desperate to play and I hope I get to make my first start in the competition.

"We know Celtic are a good team, but we have a really good reputation and recent history in this competition. We believe we have what it takes to get to the Group Stages.

"The manager here has given me a lot of confidence by playing me at the weekend. I was delighted to make my debut and it was extra special for me because we got the win.

"Now we need to carry that form on when Celtic visit and we have our fans behind us in the stadium, which could be a big help."
