Juninho Bacuna has edged closer to completing his move to Rangers after undergoing a medical at the club, according to a report.
The Curacao international is available with Huddersfield looking to get him off their wage bill due to financial issues at the club.
And Rangers are believed to have made a move to bring him to Scotland with Steven Gerrard admitting he was close to getting a player into the club.
He didn't specifically suggest it was Bacuna but did say he hoped to get a player in, and it could even have been done before tonight's game with Alashkert at Ibrox.
And now Football Insider report that Bacuna has passed a medical at Rangers and a fee has been agreed with a deal set to be confirmed.
Rangers have signed just Nnamdi Ofoborh, John Lundstram and Fashion Sakala so far this summer but Bacuna could be the latest player to join the club.
It would be too late for him to play against Alashkert but he could be included in the weekend's trip to face Ross County in the Premiership.
Bacuna hasn't played for Huddersfield yet this season but has made 107 appearances for the Terriers and scored seven goals.
