Juninho Bacuna seals Rangers move as Steven Gerrard snaps up Curacao midfielder

Rangers have completed the signing of Juninho Bacuna.

The midfielder becomes the fourth signing of the summer after deals for Nnamdi Ofoborh, John Lundstram and Fashion Sakala.

Steven Gerrard wanted to add another attacking threat from midfield and has now got his man with Bacuna agreeing to make the move to Glasgow.

The former Groningen youngster moved to Huddersfield in 2018 after 93 appearances for his hometown club, but has struggled to reach the heights expected of him.

He hasn't been helped by playing in a struggling Huddersfield side and will hope the move to Glasgow can kickstart his career after failing to make an appearance for the Terriers so far this season.

But he will now compete with the likes of Steven Davis, Joe Aribo, Glen Kamara, Ryan Jack, Scott Arfield, Lundstram and Stephen Kelly for a position in the heart of the Ibrox midfielder.

Rangers boss Gerrard admitted it was unlikely he would make too many signings before the end of the window and Bacuna could be the last of those.
