Jung Ho-Yeon insists he's edging towards a transfer to Europe amid links with a move to Celtic.
The South Korean midfielder has even namechecked the Scottish champions as he detailed the level of teams scouting him in his homeland.
Over the past couple of months, Jung has been closely linked with a switch to Brendan Rodgers' side.
However, his manager at Gwangju FC claimed he wasn't good enough to play for Celtic.
The Hoops already have a strong contingent of South Korean players on the books, including Oh Hyeon-gyu, Kwon Hyeok-kyu and Yang Hyun-jun.
While none of the trio are what you'd regard as regular first-teamers, Jung has claimed that Celtic remain interested having watched him in action at Gwangju.
He told Chosun: "A move into Europe is slowly getting closer. During the last season, scouts from some European clubs, including Celtic, came to see me play in person."
He continued: "If I could choose a league, I want to play in the Spanish Primera Liga. From an early age, I loved FC Barcelona's style of football."
Meanwhile, Celtic hero Neil Lennon insists it is vital that the club keep Matt O'Riley until at least the summer.
The 22-year-old recently signed a new deal with the Scottish champions which keeps him under contract at Parkhead until 2027.
O'Riley has thrived under Brendan Rodgers so far this season, scoring nine goals and providing eight assists, leading to speculation linking him away from the Hoops in the upcoming January transfer window.
And Lennon feels it is of utmost importance that Celtic keep the Dane at the club.
Speaking exclusively to Ladbrokes Fanzone, he said: "Matt O'Riley has had a huge impact on the team this season, he's been magnificent in all areas; wherever I've watched him, be it domestically or in Europe... he's been excellent.
"His three assists in the Champions League were out of this world, and his game has just improved no end."
