June Bank Holiday planner: Five unique things to do over the long weekend

The June Bank Holiday weekend is here.

Pubs and clubs may still be shut but there's an endless list of things to get up to in Dublin this weekend.

If you need some inspiration for your Banker plans, this list is for you.

Liffey Valley Par 3 Golf

Whether you're looking for a competitive game, or just a bit of a laugh, the Liffey Valley Par 3 golf course will give you a great day out.

As well as an 18 hole course, they have a pitch and putt area making it the perfect place to bring the kids.

It's a tenner to play the full course and children under 10 are free, so it's an affordable way to spend one of your days off this bank holiday weekend.

Fish and Chips in Malahide

Grab a top class fish and chips from The Fish Shack in Malahide and then go for a walk along the marina.

It's a stunning walk and a relaxing way to spend an afternoon. Nothing beats some sea air.

Book a night's stay in a hotel in the city centre

Pubs may not be open this weekend, but bars in hotels are.

If you're craving a strawberry daiquiri or a pint, grab a friend and book into one of the city centre's hotels. It's the closest you'll come to a night out...

Museums

If drinking isn't your thing and you're looking for something a bit more educational to do this weekend, plenty of Dublin's museums will be open for customers.

The city is spoiled for choice in this area. From the GAA museum in Croker to the Science Gallery, there's something for you no matter what your interests are.

Retail therapy

There's no better time to have a shopping spree than during a long weekend. Grafton Street and Dundrum will be calling the whole county by name over the next couple of days.

The shops have only been reopened for a couple of weeks so everyone still has plenty of browsing and buying to do.
