Am I alone in feeling like this past month just disappeared? I blinked and it's about to be August already.
July had some big game releases like Donkey Kong Bananza, Tony Hawk 3+4, Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate, Killing Floor 3, and WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers, but it truly felt like the month lasted about a week long in my mind even with everything going on.

And just like that, the calendar is turning to August with a slew of new titles to look forward to. Mafia: The Old Country drops on Aug. 8, offering a linear singleplayer experience, similarly to Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater on Aug 28 or Lost Soul Aside on Aug. 29.
For sports fans, football is back again with Madden NFL 26 on Aug. 14, and Switch 2 gamers will be looking to see what's up with Drag x Drive on the same day. If it's nostalgia you're after, then Gears of War: Reloaded on Aug. 26 will take it back to the beginning of the iconic third-person shooter franchise.
Personally, I really can't wait to see how Snake Eater's remake looks and plays. It's one of my favorite games of all time, and without Kojima on board, it will be a big test to see how Konami is handling the IP moving forward.
Lost Soul Aside is another I'm keeping an eye on. It's been hyped up for quite some time but suffered a delay earlier in the year, so my curiosity is piqued to see just what the action RPG is all about.
But now I ask you, dear reader, which August 2025 game are you most excited for? Let us know in the comments below and answer our poll so we have an idea of what's going to be hottest when the summer heat ratchets up again.
