Most great wide receivers have a certain element of their game that makes them special. Odell Beckham Jr. has his awesome athleticism. Antonio Brown has sharp route running. Deandre Hopkins can catch anything in traffic. As for Julio Jones? He’s an ace of all trades.
While the Falcons’ superstar receiver generally isn’t thought of as a king of yards after the catch, he’s naturally among the league’s elites in the department. According to Pro Football Focus, since the 2014 season only two wide receivers have posted more YAC than Julio Jones. Golden Tate won in a landslide with 2,936. Antonio Brown came in second with 2,617, followed by Jones with 2,574.
One gets the feeling that Jones would have thrived playing any position. He’s the best receiver of this era by a mile, though.
