Julio Jones is the best wide receiver of our time and there’s more than enough evidence to shut down any argument to the contrary.
The Falcons star is not only the league’s most efficient receiver in terms of yards per route run, he excels at making catches inside tight windows. According to Next Gen Stats, Jones leads the NFL in receptions with a defender within one yard of the catch point since 2016. He beat out Larry Fitzgerald and Mike Evans for the honor.
Jones is still working out a revised contract with the Falcons that should make him the league’s highest paid wide receiver. The holdup may be that there are a few other wideouts like Michael Thomas and Amari Cooper who are in line for big extensions, as well.
Once one of those dominoes fall, the rest should follow soon after.
