Julio Jones made more explosive plays than any NFL wide receiver last season

Julio Jones is going to get a raise this offseason and he’s going to deserve it. Just in case you needed another reminder why he’s worth every penny, here’s another piece of evidence in Jones’ favor.

According to Pro Football Focus, Jones had more explosive plays than any wide receiver in the NFL last season. He was in first place by a large margin, too. His 48 passing plays of 15 yards or more were seven more than anyone else at the position. Bucs wideout Mike Evans finished second with 41. The phenomenal DeAndre Hopkins ranked third with 40, followed by Tyreek Hill with 36.

Here’s the top five.

Now, consider the play-calling and pass protection that Jones and Matt Ryan had to work with last season.

Every. Single. Penny.
