Cate Blanchett stars in Berlin artist Julian Rosefeldt’s 13-channel video installation, Manifesto. She gives new life to some of the most famous art manifestos through a series of roles including teacher, newsreader, factory worker and homeless man.
Rosefeldt set out to examine the artists’ manifestos to see how they hold up in today’s society. Blanchett delivers the words of the Futurists, the Dadaists, Fluxus, and Dogma 95, and more in this installation commissioned by ACMI and the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
