Julian Nagelsmann early favourite to succeed Jose Mourinho as next Tottenham boss

Julian Nagelsmann has emerged as the early favourite to become the next Tottenham Hotspur boss.

Jose Mourinho has been sacked as Spurs boss just hours after the European Super League was announced with the north London club as one of the 12 Founding Clubs.

Nagelsmann, who currently coaches Bundesliga side RB Leipzig, has been linked to the role previously and has emerged as the 9/4 favourite with Betfred.

The former Hoffenheim coach currently has a 59% win rate with his current club and are challenging for the Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich.

Elsewhere, Leicester City boss has been tipped at 3/1 to move to north London thanks to his spell at the moment with Leicester City.

The Foxes recently won their FA Cup semi-final tie with Southampton and set up a final clash with Chelsea.

While Ryan Mason joins Chris Powell on interim duties while Daniel Levy begins the search for a new permanent manager, the 29-year-old former midfielder is 16/1 to jump in the deep end as Mourinho's successor.

Here are the latest odds from Betfred :

  • Julian Nagelsmann - 9/4
  • Brendan Rodgers - 3/1
  • Scott Parker - 5/1
  • Ledley King - 8/1
  • Nuno Espirito Santo - 8/1
  • Steven Gerrard - 10/1
  • Massimiliano Allegri - 12/1
  • Ryan Mason - 16/1
  • Eddie Howe - 16/1
  • Rafael Benitez - 16/1
  • Ralph Hasenhuttl - 20/1
