Julian Edelman thinks these WRs are the NFL’s best

Julian Edelman rarely weighs in on topics around the NFL. He, like every New England Patriot, is focused on the next opponent and nothing else. But in a Showtime’s documentary “100 percent,” a film about Edelman, the receiver shared his list of the NFL’s top receivers.

It was fairly short.

“There’s a few guys,” Edelman said in the documentary, as transcribed by NBC Sports Boston “(Odell Beckham Jr. is) up there. I would put AB (Antonio Brown) in there. AB’s a beast, and to watch how he works, I appreciate that. I see him on Instagram and stuff. He motivates me with the way he works. Julio (Jones) is outstanding, up there. Those are some of the guys that are doing it well. I think (Adam) Thielen’s pretty good. He’s been putting up some stats. I put on his routes and he runs good routes. He’s savvy with what he’s doing. Everyone’s good in this league, and I would say some of those guys that I named are close to the top.”

Any major snubs?

He seems to have forgotten DeAndre Hopkins (who is a favorite of Bill Belichick’s). And perhaps he could have thrown in names like Michael Thomas and Mike Evans. For the most part, however, Edelman’s list is complete, with Beckham and Jones being some of the most physically gifted receivers and Thielen and Brown being total technicians.

And perhaps it’s notable that Edelman didn’t include himself in the discussion. Should he?
