Julian Edelman shares funny tweet in honor of Mac Jones ahead of Week 1

Julian Edelman brought back one of Cam Newton’s nicknames ahead of the New England Patriots in Week 1. Edelman posted to Twitter to give quarterback Mac Jones a shoutout. With a reporter sharing a video of Jones getting warmed up for his NFL debut, Edelman responded with a picture of a box of Mac and Cheese.

That’s what Newton nicknamed Jones: Mac n’ Cheese. Newton may no longer be a Patriot but his nicknames live on. You’ve got to love Edelman keeping the branding in-house, with the former receiver choosing the Kraft pasta. Patriots owner Robert Kraft owns that company. Here’s a look at what Edelman put up on Twitter.
