Julian Edelman set to receive degree from Kent State

Julian Edelman entered the NFL Draft in 2009 without a college degree, but he made a promise to eventually graduate.

On Saturday, Edelman will make good on that promise after walking the stage at Kent State University. He said in a social media post that he wanted to set an example for his daughter and fulfill a vow that he made to his parents.

Who would’ve thought that a quarterback drafted in the seventh round from Kent State would turn into a three-time Super Bowl champion — as a wide receiver. The New England Patriots saw something in him that other teams didn’t, and now he’s continuously progressing on and off the field.

This marks another huge achievement for the reigning Super Bowl MVP.
