One of the most talented quarterbacks on the New England Patriots’ roster just happens to be a wide receiver.
Julian Edelman sits with a perfect 158.3 passer rating after throwing 5-for-6 in regular and postseason games with two touchdowns and 141 yards. The Patriots added Cam Newton to the roster after having Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer sit atop the depth chart all offseason. Newton is obviously the better option over the alternative choices, but Edelman still might see some designed quarterback plays this season.
He even went to Instagram on Monday to prove he’s working on all facets of his game.
