Julian Edelman’s pre-draft scouting report is incredibly accurate

As former New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman gets ready for the next chapter of his life in retirement, it’s interesting to see tidbits from the beginning of his NFL career.

Earlier this month, former Patriots scout Jim Nagy shared the Edelman evaluation he received from Kent State prior to the draft.

Completed in the fall of 2008, the evaluation touches on some of the things that made him such a successful member of the New England Patriots. Physicality and toughness were two things in particular that were hallmarks of his game. They helped him forge a long and successful career in the NFL.

Drafted in the seventh round of the 2009 draft, New England certainly got a bargain in Edelman.
