Julian Edelman and anyone who supports the New England Patriots is excited for Sunday night.
Not only is it the season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers — but it’s going to be the return of Josh Gordon. There’s no argument that Gordon is one of the most exciting players to watch when he’s on the field. So, hopefully he can stay focused and play the entire season.
He’s infamously known as ‘Flash Gordon,’ so Edelman decided to poke fun at his nickname and share this priceless post on social media.
Edelman is referring to the series “The Flash” from The CW, but he added his own twist on it.
Gordon signed with the Patriots last season and recorded 40 receptions, 720 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games. He, along with Edelman and Phillip Dorsett, have the most experience with Tom Brady out of the receiving corps — so he’ll get his fair share of opportunities if he can stay on the field.
