Julian Edelman had a simple but important takeaway from the Patriots’ win over the Jets

Retired New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman had a key takeaway from his former team’s blowout win over the New York Jets.

He tweeted: “Take care of the ball, you win.”

New England beat New York, 54-13, and the Patriots didn’t have a single turnover. Their defense, however, managed to generate three takeaways (2 interceptions, 1 fumble).

Edelman had said prior to this game that “the Patriots are not the Patriots right now.” He expressed major disappointment in the team. But it seems like Edelman might be pleased with how the Patriots are responding. It was just a win over the lowly Jets — but perhaps New England can use this momentum to get a big win over the L.A. Chargers in Week 8.

It’s fun to see and hear Edelman’s analysis of New England now that he’s an analyst.
