With increasing frequency NFL players are taking to social media to post hype videos in an effort to get their fans ready for upcoming games. New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman is no different, and on Friday he posted a video taking Patriots fans to that place where everyone knows their name, “Cheers.”
Albeit with some changes in the main characters:

Obviously the Patriots are one of the season’s earliest big storylines, with the departure of Tom Brady and Cam Newton – featured prominently in the video – taking over at quarterback. A little bit of nostalgia paying homage to one of television’s most famous sitcoms, of course set in Boston, might be the start to the season Edelman and the Patriots are hoping for.
