Peyton Manning summed it up nicely in the second quarter when he said on ESPN2 that New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones was “putting on a clinic on how to hand off” during Monday night’s game against the Buffalo Bills.
New England ran the ball 23 times and threw it just once in the first half, with the wind gusting over 25 miles per hour. It was abundantly clear the Patriots didn’t want to ask their rookie QB to fire the ball into the wind — or even downwind when he had it at his back. That led to a quality joke from former Patriots receiver and current NFL analyst Julian Edelman.

No one loves Navy football more than Patriots coach Bill Belichick, whose father Steve Belichick came up in that program.
