Julian Edelman is a man of the people. With Star Wars Day on Monday and episodes 5 and 6 of “The Last Dance” airing on Sunday, Edelman had fun on his Instagram account.
Edelman posted a picture in which he jokingly compared himself to Michael Jordan. On Monday, he shared photos in homage to Luke Skywalker.
They are quite the sight to behold. As a player who embodies the toughness and grit that the Patriots possess as an organization, seeing him posing as Michael Jordan and Skywalker is fitting. He will undoubtedly have to be superhuman in 2020 season, as he is slated to be one of the only veterans on the Patriots offense. As for now? He’s paying his respects to two of the greatest cultural icons.
Being a Star Wars and Michael Jordan fan myself, I can certainly appreciate his take on two of the biggest icons in pop culture. It just goes to show that both have staying power.
