JuJu Smith-Schuster on his lack of targets: ‘When you’re winning, you can’t really complain about that’

It was a tough game for the Pittsburgh Steelers passing game despite getting a 26-23 win over the Indianapolis Colts. The Steelers had to count on several big defensive plays including an interception returned for a touchdown to pull off the win.

One player who didn’t do much offensively this week was wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster. Schuster finished with just three receptions on five targets for 16 receiving yards. After the game Smith-Schuster spoke to the press about his lack of involvement and while you could tell he wants better numbers he kept things in perspective.

“At the end of the day, a win is a win,” Smith-Schuster said. Quarterback Mason Rudolph noted that Smith-Schuster pulls a lot of coverage his way and that helps the entire offense. This might be true but with the Los Angeles Rams up next, Pittsburgh has to do more with motion and formations to get Smith-Schuster in matchups that favor his game.
