When it comes to dictating what a player can do away from the field, sports leagues don’t get much more risk-averse than the NFL. We’re talking about teams throwing full-on meltdowns whenever a star player is spotted playing pick-up basketball — Patrick Mahomes and Myles Garrett know from experience.
So, with that in mind, I can’t imagine that the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to be thrilled to see wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster attempting the “Milk Crate Challenge.”
Video hit social media on Monday, showing Smith-Schuster navigating the crate pyramid with a crowd cheering him on. Smith-Schuster made it through without a wipeout. But the “Milk Crate Challenge’ has already led to its share of devastating falls and an increase in orthopedic injuries.
Not exactly the type of thing an NFL team wants a player doing two weeks before the season opener.
