Juhi Chawla on Satish Kaushik’s demise: I am saddened to hear about his demise; he had such a happy and naughty presence on screen – Exclusive

Satish Kaushik passed away on March 8, after suffering from a heart attack. He was 66. According to reports, his body will be brought to Mumbai after a postmortem is conducted.

ETimes got in touch with Juhi Chawla, who shared a great bond with him and also worked with him in her last film, ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’. “I am saddened to hear about Satishji. I remember watching him and loving him on screen as 'Calendar' in ‘Mr India’. He was also so happy that he was with us, playing Chintuji’s (Rishi Kapoor’s) buddy in ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’. He had such a happy and naughty presence on screen. May his soul rest in peace”, Juhi said.

Satish and Juhi also worked together in David Dhawan’s ‘Deewana Mastana’. The late actor’s character ‘Pappu Pager’ from the movie is one of the most loved characters of the actor.

Other colleagues and friends from the film industry such as Ajay Devgn, Arbaaz Khan, Subhash Ghai, Madhur Bhandarkar, Farah Khan, Neha Dhupia, Manoj Bajpayee and others also mourned Satish Kaushik’s death.
