Judy Murray has hit out at Piers Morgan over tweets he made about 18-year-old British wildcard Emma Raducanu.
The tennis coach, and mum of two-time Wimbledon champion Andy Murray, took aim at the former GMB star as she suggested that "middle-aged men should generally avoid commenting on the physical or mental well-being of teenage girls".
Raducanu has wowed the nation after becoming the youngest British female tennis player to reach the final 16 of Wimbledon.
While she impressed fans during her match against Australian Ajla Tomljanovic on Court One on Monday night, she retired following a medical break midway through the second set.
It was later confirmed that Raducanu had pulled out after suffering from "difficulty breathing".

Yet John McEnroe was not forgiving in his comment s following the confirmation of the walkover, saying that it had "got too much" for Raducanu.
The BBC commentator was hit with backlash over the comments, but unsurprisingly Piers Morgan leapt to his defence as he tweeted that "McEnroe told the truth".

He tweeted: "Ms Raducuna’s a talented player but couldn’t handle the pressure & quit when she was losing badly. Not ‘brave’, just a shame.
"If I were her, I’d tell my fans to stop abusing McEnroe, & seek his advice on how to toughen up & become a champion like he was."
Andy Murray hit back earlier today over his comments, tweeting: "Think this is a very harsh take on the situation Piers."
Piers had responded: "Well, I just felt the reaction to what McEnroe said was absurdly OTT. Didn’t you?"
Andy replied back: "I think some of what he said was fair yes.. however the timing of it was a bit off considering nobody had any clue what her issue was injury/illness/breathings issues etc at the time of his comments."
But Piers was insistent as he wrote: "He’d have said exactly the same to a young male player in same situation and nobody would have abused him for it."
This afternoon, Judy also alluded to Piers' tweets as she wrote: "Middle-aged men should generally avoid commenting on the physical or mental well-being of teenage girls. They will NEVER experience or fully understand that world."
Upset that he had been called out again, Piers wrote: "Are middle-aged women allowed to comment on the physical and mental well-being of teenage boys?"
Tennis fans were largely unimpressed, with one tweeting: "I think Judy is a tennis professional and you're not?"
While another commented: "Stop digging?"
