
After raking in millions over the weekend, Varun Dhawan’s Judwaa 2 held the fort even on Tuesday. Directed by David Dhawan, the film collected Rs 8.05 crore on the fifth day of its release.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted Wednesday afternoon, “#Judwaa2 stays SUPER-STRONG on crucial Tue... Fri 16.10 cr, Sat 20.55 cr, Sun 22.60 cr, Mon 18 cr, Tue 8.05 cr. Total: ₹ 85.30 cr. India biz.”

The film, which also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu, is a remake of David Dhawan’s 1997 hit starring Salman Khan, Judwaa. Varun stepped into the shoes of Salman while Jacqueline and Taapsee played Karisma Kapoor and Rambha’s roles respectively. Rajpal Yadav essayed the role of Nandu, played by Shakti Kapoor in the original.
In 2017, films that made it to the Rs 100 cr club include Raees, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Jolly LLB 2, Toilet Ek Prem Katha, Hindi Medium and Kaabil among others.
