Judi Love has had enough of the rumours swirling about a supposed feud on the Loose Women panel, clearing the air and insisting that there’s nothing but support, sisterhood, and “slayage” behind the scenes — even when opinions clash. Speculation about backstage tension began after Olivia Attwood Dack, 33, joined the ITV daytime show and reportedly brought her own hair and makeup team to the set. But Judi, 44, has shut down the gossip, telling OK! Magazine, “Do people ask the same thing when it’s Loose Men? We girls are good.”
She went on to explain that having your own makeup team is not a negative thing. “If you’ve got your own make-up team, it’s not a bad reflection of the team in-house – it’s just someone else is used to your face. That should be looked at as a positive, and how inclusive the show and the team are to make sure people are comfortable. We slay all the time! I get my make-up done, I walk out, and I’m slaying. Period!”, reported the Express.
As a staple on Loose Women for five years, Judi acknowledged that, like any group of women, the panellists don’t always see eye to eye. But she reassured fans that disagreements are always handled with respect. “Of course, we all have different opinions, that’s the beauty of it. But everything is always done with respect. A different opinion doesn’t mean an argument. It’s a conversation.”
She also added, “It’s always fun, always lively. The topics are wide-ranging. It’s a space where I can be myself–not just as a comedian, but as a woman, a mother and a voice for the community.”
While appearing on Saturday Kitchen, Judi took the chance to directly address the drama after host Matt Tebbutt cheekily asked if the women had fallen out. Laughing it off, she said, “No, no, we’re absolutely lovely. Loo,k I’m working with 20 women who all have expertise in different areas – journalism, news reporting, acting – they are forces to be reckoned with.”
Judi went on to explain that the support between the panellists extends beyond work. “I find that anything I need advice in, anything – I’m talking buying houses, all kinds of different stuff – I can just go to any one of them and they’ve got some understanding and can educate me on things.” She added, “I think it’s great. They’ve added to it, and now they’ve got a comedian in the pool, I love it, what better job than to go in, have a chit-chat with the girls, get your make-up on.”
Judi spoke warmly of her friendships with her fellow panellists like Nadia Sawalha, Jane Moore, Charlene White, and Brenda Edwards, saying she feels comfortable enough to reach out to them at any time.
She also reflected on how she balances her busy TV career with motherhood. “My kids are the ones who keep me grounded. I could be off interviewing a Hollywood star but the moment I step through the door it’s, ‘Mum, what’s for dinner?’ It’s beautiful – I love it.”
