Judi Love has Loose Women panel in stitches after regaling graphic birth story

The ladies at Loose Women, which aired on Thursday, (February 9) were in fits of laugher, with Charlene White wiping her eyes, after comedian Judi Love told the unexpectedly hilarious tale of when she gave birth to her son.

Appearing alongside Charlene, Denise Welsh and Jane Moore, Judi was talking part in a discussion around whether or not they would get their make up done to give birth after footage surfaced of reality television star Heidi Montag being pampered by a make-up artist shortly before giving birth and streaming the process online.

Host Charlene and the rest of the Loose Women had their chance at telling the panel and audience of their own labour stories before Judi was asked of her thoughts on the matter of streaming or documenting her births - if she had the chance to do it again. As usual, Judi soon had the entire studio audience and panel in stitches after giving details of her experience giving birth, where she had wanted to document it and "tried to make myself look good" with the vision of recording the momentous occasion - but it seems her vision wasn't executed in the way she'd expected.

She explained how she'd had her hair done, adding: "I don't care how the baby gets out but my hair's got to slay." She continued "I had a plan. You have a plan of how you want your birth and so on, so you try and organise it..."

"And your plan involved a video camera?" quizzed Charlene. Responding, Judi said: "Yeah, because I wanted to savour the moment."

The comedian and former Strictly Come Dancing contestant has two teenage children and welcomed her youngest in 2009, shortly after her mum's death. She went on to explain how her mother-in-law at the time was being attentive to her throughout the labour and after a few weeks, Judi recalled: "We had the baby, and my mother-in-law at the time was trying to make sure it was nice, so we decided we were all going to sit down and watch the birth together."

This group watch included the mother-in-law and "both nannies". Judi said: "The problem is, we put the tape in and when it came up there was no editing, it was just straight 'chum chum' and it was my sister-in-law at the time that filmed it and it was just zooming in. As he was crowning, it was just zooming in, zooming out. It was so bad and it was so uncomfortable, us all sitting there going 'ok', but we had already committed to this. Could you imagine? I'm sitting there and then the world is seeing my chum chum."

She added: "Listen, in the moment you just think to yourself you have an idea of how you want your birth to be and I was adamant I wanted it filmed but the person who was filming it, yeah, they was off the track. It was messy."

All panellists were up in arms at this revelation with Charlene White wiping tears from her face and Denise Welch screaming with laughter. When journalist Jane Moore was asked if she recorded the birth of her children she replied straight: "Absolutely not."

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12:30pm on ITV.
