Judge's daughter brutally murdered and disfigured by husband in lockdown killing

A knifeman was shot in the legs by police after he murdered and disfigured his wife.

Artyom Kiselev, 29, drove Irina Kiseleva, 35, the daughter of a judge, to a cemetery during the coronavirus lockdown.

But when the couple arrived at the site in Rubtsovsk, south west Russia, Artyom stabbed the medical supplies businesswoman.

Her body was later found in his car with multiple stab wounds, her abdomen sliced open and a failed attempt to sever her head.

The day after the gruesome killing, police laid spikes on a road to puncture Artyom's tyres as he sought to drive away with his wife’s mutilated corpse in his car.

“He tried to escape on flat tyres but was caught,” said the Russian Investigative Committee.

“He got out of the car and attacked police with a knife.”

He was shot in the legs as he ran at a policeman with the weapon, it is alleged.

As officers surrounded him and tried to apprehend him, he stabbed himself to death, they said.

The victim’s mother called in police after her daughter failed to reply to phone calls, reported local publication Komsomolskaya Pravda.

Karina, a friend of the dead woman, was quoted as saying: “Artyom was a quiet, reserved man.

“He was always a bit weird whenever I saw him.

“I didn't like him.”

But Irina “loved him a lot” even though "her family and close friends didn't want them to be together. They didn't like him."
