Judge Rinder mugged by thugs in balaclavas as they make off with his phone

ITV's Judge Rinder has taken to Twitter to offer a 'financial reward' after he was mugged by 'three boys on bikes'.

The thugs were wearing balaclavas and made off with the 42-year-old's phone.

The ITV star - whose real name is Robert Rinder - said he was "in shock" after the incident, which happened in Canfield Gardens, near Finchley Road in London, on Wednesday night.

Taking to his social media to share the horrifying ordeal, Judge Rinder even said he would offer a reward for anyone who can assist with information regarding the mugging.

Robert, who is also a barrister, tweeted: "I've just had my phone grabbed out my hands by 3 boys wearing balaclavas on bikes (Finchley Road & Canfield gardens).

"They laughed as I shouted to drop it.

"I'm in shock but am insured & privileged. Others are less lucky.

"Help me find these people & stop them (financial reward)."

Robert's followers rushed to send him their well wishes after he posted the tweet.

One tweeted: "This happened to me last year. It really shakes you up for a few days afterwards. Take care and look after yourself x."

"Hope you're OK Rob. Insurance and privilege won't stop the shock of it all," another posted.

A third posted: "How awful and shocking that must have been. I hope they are identified and apprehended, and you get your property back."

"That's awful and really scary. I hope you're ok," another wrote.

The Metropolitan Police said in a statement: "Police are investigating after receiving a report of a theft at approximately 20.40 hrs on Wednesday, 24 March on Finchley Road.

"Three males dressed in black approached the victim and took his mobile phone.

"Enquiries are on-going. No arrests at this early stage."
