Jude Bellingham shared the advice his mum gave him prior to his inspirational performance for England against Norway.
Bellingham was one of a handful of England players walking a disciplinary tightrope, with any bookings during the match meaning they would’ve been suspended for the World Cup semi-final.
After driving the Three Lions to a 2-1 win with a goals in the first half of normal and extra time, the Real Madrid midfielder revealed what his mum had told him before the game.
“My mum was telling me all week to watch my language, watch my tackles, watch my face, watch my emotions,” he told the BBC. “She drilled it into me all week to be careful of that yellow card.”
