Jude Bellingham in Real Madrid link as Florentino Perez aims to 'work in silence' after Kylian Mbappe failure

Real Madrid could again be set to gazump Europe's top clubs and land two of the best youngsters on the planet in Jude Bellingham and Josko Gvardiol.

Already boasting a star-studded young team that includes Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni, Los Blancos are set up for the future when it comes to their attacking and midfield ranks. With rivals Barcelona boasting youthful talents such as Pedri, Gavi, Ansu Fati and more, there is an onus to look to the long-term despite being seven points behind their arch-enemies in the La Liga table.

Bellingham and Gvardiol fit the bill perfectly in that both are of high enough quality to be able to waltz straight into the Real Madrid starting XI despite being just 19 and 21 respectively, which would make them a coup for any world-class squad. According to SPORT, Real chiefs are working tirelessly to secure the signatures of the young prodigy duo before any other interested clubs can muster up a bid.

The report claims that Real's board are working in silence to secure the signings of the sought-after young duo after missing out on Kylian Mbappe last season, when they made their attempts to sign him public.

Bellingham and Gvardiol are billed as the two 'priority' signings for president Florentino Perez, with more youth needed in midfield due to the ageing Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, whilst Gvardiol has also been linked as he would represent a 'leap in quality' from the current defensive unit of David Alaba, Antonio Rudiger and Eder Militao.

Gvardiol seriously impressed alongside Josip Juranovic and Borna Barisic for Croatia at the World Cup as the eastern European country finished third after beating Morocco in the third-place play-off the day before the World Cup final, whilst Bellingham was England's MVP as they suffered defeat to France following a missed Harry Kane penalty late in the game.

The young Englishman, who grew up in Birmingham City's academy, has been linked with Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool in recent years but a move has yet to come to fruition as he plots to continue his development at German giants Borussia Dortmund.
