Jude Bellingham has 'choice of three clubs as Liverpool track two other targets'

Liverpool are reportedly one of three clubs who are still in the race to sign Jude Bellingham.

The Reds continue to be heavily linked with the signing of the Borussia Dortmund midfielder, who is becoming one of the most prized assets in Europe. Anfield insiders are well known to be admirers of the teenager, but it remains to be seen whether the player will move to Anfield.

As well as Liverpool, the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United have also been linked with Bellingham. Now an update has emerged from German media on the player's future.

Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has claimed that Liverpool are one of three clubs who remain in the battle to sign Bellingham. He does add, though, that United are no longer in the running for the player’s signature.

Plettenberg claims that Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp are pushing hard to sign Bellingham, but not at any price due to Financial Fair Play reasons. A reported price of €150million (£128m) has been quoted as a potential price tag.

The report goes on to say that Liverpool are also looking at two unnamed players from South America as alternatives to Bellingham. It remains unclear who those may be - but as well as the 19-year-old England star, the Reds have also been linked with Brighton and Ecuador international Moises Caicedo and Benfica’s Argentinian star Enzo Fernandez in gossip columns.

It has also been claimed in the report that Man City and Real Madrid are the other two clubs who are in the fight to sign Bellingham. However, it is not stated whether or not any interest will be acted on in the January transfer window.

Plettenberg's tweet last night said: "Been told that #MUFC hardly has a chance anymore. Triple fight: Liverpool, City, Real! #LFC & Klopp pushing! But not at any price due to FFP. Price: Up to €150m! JB is LFCs top target for central midfield - next to 2 players from South America."
