Jude Bellingham gives verdict on Erling Haaland to Man City transfer

Jude Bellingham believes Manchester City are 'very lucky' to have Erling Haaland joining them this summer.

City confirmed that they have agreed a deal to sign Haaland from Borussia Dortmund earlier this week, with the Norwegian sensation arriving on July 1. The Blues have splashed out a total outlay of approximately £86million to secure Haaland who, if he isn't already, is quickly becoming the best striker in the world.

The 21-year-old already has more than 100 career goals to his name with 85 of them coming in just 88 matches at Dortmund. Bellingham has been Haaland's teammate in Germany for the past two years and has seen first-hand just how good he is.

The teenage midfielder has admitted he will miss Haaland greatly but remains happy for him as he takes the next step in his career.

"I told him I was very happy for him to be able to take the next step on his path as a footballer," Bellingham told My Crush Live. "He is a great player, a great guy.

"I will miss this the most. He is a really good character. I think City are very lucky to have such a player.

"And as for our team next season, I think new opportunities will open up. We have exciting arrival in Karim Adeyemi, Nico Schlotterbeck and Niklas Süle and I am very excited to see what else the club is building for next season. I have full confidence in the club.”

Bellingham is another player who has continued to reach his astonishing potential after moving to Dortmund and has also been heavily linked with a move to City in recent times. However, he's made it clear he has no intentions of leaving Signal Iduna Park just yet.

"The only future I think about is the next game for Dortmund," the 18-year-old added. "I look forward to next season. I look forward to it finally starting. But yes, I will be here next season and I will be ready.”
