Jude Bellingham ‘given Man Utd player level access’ at Carrington training ground

Manchester United are reportedly pulling out all the stops in their attempts to sign the Birmingham City youngster Jude Bellingham.

Sixteen-year-old Bellingham has turned plenty of heads in the Championship.

And the midfielder is known to have several admirers in the top echelons of European football - including Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund, who would love to team him up with fellow English youngster Jadon Sancho.

Bellingham has appeared 35 times for the Blues in all competitions this season, scoring four goals, and United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is known to be a huge admirer of the England under-17 international.

The Evening Standard reports that Bellingham and his family were given a personal tour of United’s Carrington training ground last Monday, as the Red Devils remain ‘obsessed’ with luring the teenage talent to Old Trafford in the summer.

A promising young player being given a tour of the club's famous old training ground is nothing new at United.

But the fact that Bellingham and his family were allowed special access to the club’s inner sanctum in the same week that the club cracked down on visitors due to the coronavirus pandemic shows just how determined they were to impress the youngster.

Access to certain areas of the training ground was limited to players and crucial staff at the time of Bellingham’s visit, before United decided to close Carrington’s doors and suspend training this week.

Bellingham is certain to leave Birmingham this summer, with the Blues leaving it up to him to decide his future as long as any interested clubs meet his asking price.

It is likely that any move to sign him could cost up to £30million.
