Jude Bellingham is clear to report for England duty after the German government gave the Borussia Dortmund midfielder quarantine exemption.
The 17-year-old was a doubt for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers due to strict Covid rules in Germany that would mean he would have to quarantine for 14 days on his return from international duty.
Gareth Southgate still named Bellingham in his squad on Thursday but said he would be unlikely he would be able to join up with England.
But the FA have confirmed that Bellingham has now been given clearance to avoid quarantine on his return to Germany.
“We’re pleased to confirm that — following the latest COVID risk update from German authorities — Jude BellinghamJude is now permitted to join up with the Three Lions tomorrow,” they tweeted on Sunday.
Marcus Rashford’s availability for matches against San Marino, Albania and Poland is in doubt after a foot injured ruled him out of Manchester United’s FA Cup tie at Leicester on Sunday.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “The doctor will speak to the English [FA] but I think he’ll travel and report. Maybe he’ll be fit for them.’
