Juboraj next to Cardiff's Roath Park closes permanently

The Juboraj Group of restaurants has shut its popular and well established venue in Lakeside, Cardiff.

Situated next to Roath Park the Lakeside Juboraj was one of many restaurants owned by the group and was loved for its traditional Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine as well as its brilliant Christmas lights display during the festive season.

It still operates a restaurant in Rhiwbina and takeaways Juboraj Grameen in Adamsdown and Juboraj Express on North Road.

But in the past few years the group has closed restaurants in Rogerstone, Abercynon, Cardiff Bay and Mill Lane, as well as the Lakeside branch.

Which is Wales' best Indian restaurant?

There has been a Juboraj restaurant in Cardiff for more than 30 years and the remaining sit-down and original Juboraj, in Rhiwbina, opened in 1989 on Heol Y Deri and its have long prided itself on a being able to deliver authentic dishes with a contemporary approach.

The Lakeside property, which is on Lakeside Road West was up for rent with Fletcher Morgan in February 2019.

WalesOnline has approached Juboraj for comment.
