Jubilee the 'weird-looking' husky finds home after internet falls in love

A odd-looking husky has found a loving owner after a Facebook post highlighting her plight went viral.

Jubilee, four, had struggled to find a home because of her looks.

The dog, originally from a breeder, had been staying at the Husky House centre in New Jersey, US, for “a long time”.

The centre put up a post on Facebook asking for donations which ended up being shared almost 50,000 times and raising $2,141(£1,643).

On Tuesday, the shelter shared the news that Jubilee had found a permanent owner.

An update to the original post said: “Thanks to everyone who shared Jubilee’s story. She has found her forever home with previous Husky House adopters and joins her new fur-siblings in a wonderful new life!”

Jubilee was taken in at Husky House after her breeder said she could not sell her because she looked "weird".

The post, written from Jubilee’s perspective, added: “I wish I was beautiful so someone would want me to be their dog.

“I like other dogs, but I don’t like cats. I love people, but I’m a little shy because people mostly laugh at the way I look.

“Doesn’t anyone want a funny looking husky? I wish I had a family of my own who could love me even though I’m not pretty.”
