Jubeir: Complacency Towards Iran Will Encourage Further Hostilities

Saudi minister of state for foreign affairs Adel al-Jubeir (Arabic Website)

Saudi minister of state for foreign affairs Adel al-Jubeir said on Thursday complacency towards Iran will encourage it to commit further hostile acts which will have implications for the international community’s peace and security.

He said on Twitter, the weekend attacks which targeted Saudi Aramco’s oil installations was an “attack on the world” and that “this vicious attack is an extension of Iran’s sabotage and aggressive policies and the international community must shoulder its responsibilities and take a firm stance against Iran’s criminal behavior.”

On the other hand, Jubeir met Lord Tariq Ahmad, UK Prime Minister's Special Representative on Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict, and Minister of State for the Commonwealth and UN at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, in Riyadh on Thursday.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them to serve the interests of both countries and peoples.

They also exchanged views on a number of issues of common interest.

Earlier, Jubeir also met with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Shaikh Hmood bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.

The two reviewed the close brotherly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stressing the keenness of KSA to further develop these relations in all fields for the common interests of the two brotherly countries and people.
