Juan Mata sends message to Manchester United teammates ahead of Liverpool FC fixture

Juan Mata has urged his Manchester United teammates to "change the dynamic" against Liverpool on Sunday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are looking to get back to winning ways after a disappointing start to the season that has seen them pick up just two wins since the start of the new campaign while Liverpool are unbeaten at the top of the league.

Last time out United fell to defeat against Newcastle and Mata believes the international break came at a good time to allow United to reflect and work out how to push on for the rest of the season.

"On Sunday we have a great chance to change the dynamic and we are all very motivated to take the win," Mata wrote in his weekly blog. "We are United, we are playing at home and we will give everything to be able to take the victory that our fans deserve in such a special game.

United will be hoping to end Jurgen Klopp's side's unbeaten run in the league on Sunday afternoon but may have to do so without David de Gea who suffered a groin injury in the second half of Spain's draw against Sweden on Tuesday and Mata is hoping his friend won't be out for too long.

"The bad news from that game was that David wasn’t able to finish the match due to an injury problem after making some great saves," Mata added. "I hope that it won’t be anything major and he can be back with us soon."
