Juan Mata reveals mood inside Manchester United dressing room ahead of Crystal Palace

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has opened up on the mood within the camp after a frustrating draw at Wolves.

The Red Devils host Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon as they aim to get back to winning ways following the 1-1 draw against Wolves.

Anthony Martial fired home a left-footed shot to give United a 1-0 lead at Molineux on Monday night, before Ruben Neves' fantastic curling shot hit the bar and found the back of the net for Wolves.

Paul Pogba was brought down late in the game but his spot-kick was saved, with the fact that the Frenchman took the penalty after several misses in the last twelve months a source of frustration for some fans.

But Mata, who signed a new deal in June, insists despite the two dropped points that there is a good feeling in the camp at the moment ahead of the fixture against Palace.

"I'm very happy to be here and very happy we have started the season," Mata told  ESPN .

"The (pre-season) tour (in Australia, China, Singapore and Wales) was a nice few weeks for all of us to be together. We are only starting, but we're happy.

"I would be happier if we had six points. That's what we felt after the Wolves game but the first game was very good against a good side (4-0 win over Chelsea). We've got four points, but we're looking forward to getting three more on Saturday (against Palace).

"Every time that you start a new season there is excitement. We have a manager that everyone knows, he's been around the club for many years and has done great things here.

"We are all very excited about what we can do. Hopefully we can have a great season and keep our fans happy and excited until the end of the season."
