Juan Foyth reveals the area of his game that Mauricio Pochettino is trying to help him improve

Spurs fans have seen a lot more of Juan Foyth this season following his move from Estudiantes in 2017.

The Argentine was limited to only eight appearances for the team in his first campaign in England, with Mauricio Pochettino electing against using him in the Premier League.

It has been very different for the 21-year-old this season and he has already made three more appearances than 12 months ago.

Foyth was handed his league debut away at Wolves at the start of November and it was one that he won't forget in a hurry as he gave away two penalties in the team's 3-2 win.

However, he was in the headlines for all the right reasons the following week as he scored his first goal for the club in the 1-0 win away at Crystal Palace.

Calm and composed on the ball for such a young player, Foyth has revealed that he is now working on the physical side of his game as he bids to keeping up his recent progression.

Quizzed by Marca (via Sport Witness) about his style of play, he said: "More technical, but I’m working hard on my aggressiveness. And I think I'm improving it little by little."

Foyth was then asked about the role Mauricio Pochettino has played in his development given he was a centre-back during his career.

"He was a central defender and gives me very good tips to be better, more aggressive," he added.

The Argentine last featured in the 2-1 defeat at Burnley in February but opportunities could well come his way over the next few weeks with the team facing another gruelling schedule.
