Juan Alegria is about to finalise a move to Ibrox as he eyes a fruitful partnership with Alfredo Morelos.
The Light Blues are looking to follow a similar blueprint to Morelos as Colombian rising star Alegria continues to show his brilliant potential in Finland.
The Colombian is on the verge of joining Steven Gerrard's side as Rangers look to bring in reinforcements for the second half of the season.
And Alegria is a big admirer of Morelos and can't wait to link up with his compatriot.
He told the Daily Record: "Alfredo has made history not only in Scotland, but at European level too because he has been a prolific scorer in the Europa League.
"I hope I can get to Rangers to improve myself, learn from him, his teammates and the coaching staff.
"Rangers have made an approach to Honka. They are trying to finalise the transfer between the clubs. God willing, soon I will be a Rangers player.
"If and when I go to Scotland I know I will have to work very hard. My ambitions in football are very big. I know you have to keep working to achieve your goals.
"The whole of 2020 has been a great learning experience for me. Now we are focused on my future. I have grasped the opportunity of going to Finland and have learned a lot.
"I know I have been very lucky to get this chance and I feel I have made the most of it. I also think Finnish football has really improved me as a player.
"My next aim internationally is to get into the Under 20s squad with Colombia. I have already been in the Under 15s and Under 17s team and I want to keep progressing.
"Being in Finland has allowed me to play first team football in a competitive environment, but playing for Rangers would be massively important and be a huge step in my career."
