Joyriders flee scene after smashing into parked car in stolen vehicle

Police enquiries are ongoing after a joyriders fled a stolen vehicle after crashing into a parked car early this morning.

The crash happened on Duntocher Road near to Limetree Drive in Clydebank around 12:20am.

Photos from the scene show debris from the parked car strewn across the entire street with the front of the vehicle having sustained significant damage. The stolen car - a white Audi - was unoccupied by the time police arrived on the scene.

Officers say nobody has presented injured following the crash as investigations continue.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of a crash involving a single car which struck a parked vehicle on Duntocher Road in Clydebank around 12.20am on Tuesday, 16 February.

"The vehicle was unoccupied on police arrival and it was subsequently reported stolen. Nobody has presented as injured following the crash. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
