
People react in joy at a public venue in Sakai, Osaka Prefecture, on Saturday, along with Haniwa Kacho -- a city mascot modeled after a brown clay burial figurine -- when hearing of the addition of the Mozu-Furuichi tumulus clusters to the World Cultural Heritage List. UNESCO's World Heritage Committee decided to include the group of ancient tombs in the prefecture in the list at its meeting in Baku on the day.
