Joy for film fans as Perth Playhouse reveals date for big reopening

Perth Playhouse has announced it is aiming to reopen on Friday September 25.

The Perth cinema made the announcement today on Facebook much to the delight of the Fair City's film fans.

The cinema has been closed since March as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Thursday (Sept 3), Perth Playhouse took to Facebook to announce it was "working towards a re-opening of Friday, September 25."

The Playhouse has promised Perth's cinema-goers "a whole host of fantastic films and cultural content" including "A Quiet Place Part II" and a special concert by Andrew Rieu created exclusively for cinemas.

The cinema's website says it will have special protocols in place including an empty seat break in between all customers.

It says couples or groups who wish to sit together without a seat break will be welcome to do so.
