Joy as lucky Dubliner wins €500,000 EuroMillions prize

A lucky Dublin punter woke up €500,000 richer this morning after scooping the EuroMillions Plus jackpot.

The winning Quick Pick ticket was sold at the Mace store in Muckross Avenue, Perrystown, Dublin 12.

They have becomes the seventh Irish winner of the plus draw this year, and the fourth from Dublin.

The winning numbers from the Lotto Plus draw on Friday night were: 20, 23, 27, 33 and 34.

Delighted shop owner, Sean Mooney, said that there was great excitement in the area as news of the win filtered through.

He said: “This is fantastic news. Perrystown is a small, tight knit community and we have a strong local trade so it may be one of our regular customers.

"Our last big win was €250,000 a few years ago so we are delighted to have doubled that on this occasion."

Sean and his wife took over the shop in 1987 and "have been with the National Lottery from the beginning."

The National Lottery is now appealing to all its players in the capital to check their tickets.
