Ryan Fitzpatrick started for the Miami Dolphins Sunday and threw and INT. That makes eight teams the Harvard man has thrown picks for in his NFL career. Fitzpatrick now is knotted with another journeyman, Chris Chandler, in this category. On the positive side. Fitzpatrick is the first QB to throw TD passes for 8 teams as he had a TD toss for Miami in the rout.

Fitzpatrick played for the Rams in 2005 and ’06. He tossed eight picks against 4 TD passes in St. Louis, all in ’05.
Cincinnati Bengals

The next stop on the NFL journeyman train was Cincinnati. Another couple seasons and eight more picks to go against nine TD passes.
Buffalo Bills

Fitzpatrick then made a home in Buffalo. Four seasons was his longest tenure with any NFL team. That gave him the opportunity to throw 80 TD passes as well as 64 picks. Don’t quite think a 5:4 TD-to-INT ratio is something a team is hoping for in its QB.
Tennessee Titans

The 2013 season saw Fitzpatrick land with the Tennessee Titans. He started nine games, went 3-6 and threw 14 TD passes against 12 picks.
Houston Texans

Next up was another one-year stop. This time, Fitzpatrick landed in Houston in 2014. He made 12 starts, threw 17 TD passes and 8 INTs. A stellar ratio for the Harvard guy.
New York Jets

Back to the AFC East as QB for the New York Jets. Fitzpatrick started 27 games in two seasons, going 13-14. He threw 43 TD passes and 32 picks for Gang Green.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Fitzpatrick left the Big Apple for the NFC South in 2018. He had a mercurial season. He opened the season by throwing for more than 400 yards and 4 TDs against the Saints. In the end, though, he was 4-6 as a starter and threw 24 TD passes against 15 picks.
Miami Dolphins

Another Sunshine State team saw Fitzpatrick start the 2019 opener for the Miami Dolphins. And, he threw a pick. That makes eight teams Fitzpatrick has played for and thrown interceptions.
